PETTE VAYDEX (Slovenia) Potty Mouth Music

Pette Vaydexs turn to techno infused a hard groove into his production work. Since
first taking to the sound, the Slovenia-born producer reached out to other EDM influences,
eventually creating a perfect storm of sound for the Potty Mouth Music label. In combining
influences funk, house and hard techno, Vaydex rips through dance floors with a brand of
jagged beats that cut and twist like knives.

An early fan of drum n bass, Vaydex soon made the switch to techno, engrossing himself
in the banging, hard beats that would go on to define the core of his sound. Melding the
nastiness of rap vocals over deep funk basslines, the young producer would go on to create
a relentless sound in the clubs of Slovenia. Techno labels like Patterns, Yin Yang and
Weapon Records quickly signed on to his style.

On the decks, Vaydex has worked over crowds with three-deck sets, playing countries from
Malta to Serbia and Austria to Croatia. When hes not playing to live audiences, Vaydex
is working both solo and collaborating with likes of Bryan Cox (Freaks On The Floor
remix) and Pedro Delgardo/Phil Walls (Acid Future remix). His original tracks have
been released on Mizumo Music, Techment and Weapon, to name a few.

Vaydex has more recently infused melodic elements of house into this production style. His
crossover debut to the Potty Mouth Music label still carries the acidic hiss of his techno
influences while bringing more groove and less bang to the floor.

I like creating so many different sounds, says the producer, who makes his Potty
Mouth Music debut with My Orange Vacuum Cleaner and Hairy Lips, featuring
Short Texas.

Screw soap the mouth; the brand of jack that defines Chicago's new-school house sound gets
a tech-heavy makeover from the talent roster of Potty Mouth Music. Inspired by the dirty
glitch twists of fidget house producers such as Switch, Trevor Loveys and Jesse Rose,
Potty Mouth ditches conventional house boundaries, imploring turntable trickery,
unconventional loops and straight up techno into its catalogue of tracks. Chicago-based
label head James Amato keeps house-heavy influences in place and lacing them with the kind
of dirty glitch that makes it feel so good to be so bad. Potty Mouth's artists include
Crookers (Italy), Santiago & Bushido (Chicago), HiJack (UK), Dj Fame (New York), The
Bulgarian (UK), Heavyfeet (UK), Cops & Robbers (Chicago), Electric Soulside (Belgium),
Andy George (UK), Scott Cooper (UK), Klaus Hill (Australia), Mightyfools (Netherlands),
Adam Bozzetto (Australia), TJR (New York), Chris James & Lee Dearn (UK), Urchins (UK),
Pette Vaydex (Slovenia), Rockwell D (UK) and Kyle Watson (South Africa).
