I live in thailand and have been to the fullmoon party x3. I would advise you go to at a
day or two early, but maybe even three days early if you want to be right on the actual
beach. the actual party takes place on sunset beach and so prices for bungalows there
tend to be more expensive. I usually stay on sunSET beach, which is about 10 minutes
walking distance from sunrise and you can find decent bungalows there for as low as
100baht (without bathroom) and 200baht (with bathroom, porch, double bed and a single bed
all in one). You can put as many people in the room as you want and some of them are on
beautiful locations like right on the rocks over the water... On sunSET beach it's also a
little quieter and less people.
