This monthly soiree is dedicated to showcasing the best live acts and dj's in the genres of global soul, afro-beat, funk, deep house and nu jazz to keep you dancing all night long! On Saturday, November 22nd, Sol Ascension sets it off with a bang when the artist that Gilles Peterson calls '...the man behind a million great tunes' stops by to construct beats live onstage - acclaimed UK producer/musician/dj Mark de Clive-Lowe. His 2005 smash album Tides Arising is now a future soul classic as are his brilliant remixes for the likes of Jody Watley, Omar and Brazilian superstar Ed Motta. Mark's latest solo release is the Japanese exclusive JOURNEY 2 THE LIGHT (Freedom School Records) featuring Bembe Segue, Jason Yarde and Sammy Figueroa (Miles Davis). The next long player release on the schedule is MELODIUS BEATS VOL.2 – a collection of Mark’s recent remixes, productions and collaboartions, due out in the New Year.
