Clearly this video is an exploration of the rigid concepts of masculinity. The men sit
awkwardly framed and confined by the societies "windows". The elaborate surfing and bird
scenes represent the mens attempts to overcome "nature" (societies dictates) and be free
as individuals. The final poignant scene of the flower is the delicate and fragile thread
of femininity which the men both embrace but are fearful of, being destroyed by "nature"
(societies) harsh winds of oppression. Mississipi st? Its code for "Mr Sissy Pants" a
term which haunts the men's quest for freedom beyond sexuality.
