REAL DJs Vs automix DJs
Automix DJs are now in their hundreds, they've mastered the "SYNC" button in software
programs like Traktor, Atomix, virtual DJ, PCDJ VJ, amongst other things, I mean its a
joke. These idiots use their illegally downloaded key-gened software to mix their
bearshare and limewire illegally downloaded music and they expect people to take them
seriously. C-mon, even when these automix tools fail to gain any recognition whatsoever
for their lame attempts of status and popularity compounded upon their inability to
actually DJ using REAL DJ techniques, they just simply empower more idiots that are more
gullible than they are into their sick automixing circle with their sad belief that they
will have strength in their numbers.... I mean that in itself is just pathetic, the
automix DJs in their hundreds are just pathetic losers, what do they hope to possibly
achieve.
I've looked at these DJ softwares and they all have the "REPEATING/CUE" and the
"CUED/PLAY" function, some even have the ability to do normal or pitch/key lock
scratching if they had a Midi device such as a Dac-3 controller or a Denon DN-HC4500. Is
it just out of laziness or ignorance that they lack the intelligence to comprehend these
software packages in understanding the basic principles of industry standard DJ
techniques that exist in each one of these DJ deck emulators or is it through their
complete and utter ignorance that these automix DJs just make a mockery of the whole DJ
scene by automixing (duh its too hard to be a REAL DJ, I’ll just automix it), I mean
any halfwit with half a brain can press the “SYNC” button, even a child can press a
button. A professional DJ using a CDJ-1000 MK3 may be using saved Cue/Points for mixing
and loops/samples- but he at one stage or another found those Cue/Points manually, or
even manually adjusts those Cue/Points during a live show. Automix DJing is simply the
ability to load songs of up to 2 BPM difference into each deck and ensure the
“Auto-Gain” button is pressed to auto-level their illegal music, Play Deck A, then
press "SYNC" by pressing a button or two on their computer or laptop, Play Deck B and
then move the cross fader across while laughing at themselves (duh I'm a DJ), what a
JOKE, where’s the skill in that, if I was at a club with an automix DJ, DJing I’d
yell out: “Hey I can automix on my laptop at home, you’re a LOSER”… Those automix
DJs may as well be paid 5¢ an hour, because that’s all they’re worth. When an automix
DJ automixes and uses “Auto-Gain”, what’s the point of even having a pair of
headphones or a mixer, you’d just look like an idiot. I mean the whole point of having
headphones and a mixer is to monitor the mix, what the hell are you monitoring when your
automixing and using the Auto-Gain”.
These people must understand that real DJs mix their REAL OWNED/PAID FOR music on their
REAL hardware using REAL industry standard DJ techniques, such as: The Repeating /Cue,
Beat/Stepping and Cued/Play. Thats why REAL DJs get paid so much because they're actually
working monitoring their mix with headphones on a mixer to put on a show for the people
that attend the club. If your going to mix on your computer, at the very least, get
yourself a Dac-3 controller, a Denon DN-X500 four channel mixer, a Korg Kaos Pad (KP3)
effects unit and a Technics 1200 with time-code for normal or pitch/key lock scratching,
then actually BUY your music and DJ using REAL DJ techniques, instead of auto-mixing it
while looking pathetic on your computer.
The Repeating/Cue is the industry standard that allows DJs to save and set Cue/Points for
Cue Point mixing and save and set Cue/Points for loops/samples. I mean if these automix
idiots want to live the legend of DJ automix, thats fine, but their existence makes a
mockery of the whole DJ industry. I’m not a DJ, I’m just a connoisseur of fine
Trance/Psy-Trance music, and with all the DJs and DJ software that everyone has access to
now days, everyone that attends a club is critical of the quality of the DJed service
being delivered to them and they also critically listen to the music being played while
unconsciously placing judgement upon the ability of the club DJ to DJ properly, with the
advent of the automix DJ, suddenly everyone’s an expert, raising the bar for every
professional DJ out there, DJing in the clubs today.
I'm living on the Sunshine Coast completing my Batchelor Degree and I'm just laughing my
arse off at all the automix DJs in Darwin pursuing their sad quest for recognition.
