Crank up the sound, hit play, and get HARDWIRED. Slug Artist Profile June 2008: Slug is the psytrance project of Liam Gibbs, an electronic music producer from Cape Town, South Africa. DJing psytrance since 1998, Liam began releasing tracks internationally in 2003, and since then has built a dedicated following of trance lovers around the world. Liam is also co-owner of Nexus Media, a Cape Town-based record label specialising in psytrance. The Slug sound is powerful fusion of psytrance styles, offering a great cross-over between the twisted beats of the night, and the blissfull melodies of a daytime dancefloor. Now with 5 albums to his credit (including 2 with Shift as the “Pitch Hikers” project), Slug is making more noise than ever, taking his unique sound to more and more dancefloors around the world.
