The other day I saw one of said friends who made the mistake of getting involved in this
situation. He was a complete arse about the whole thing and didn't just take sides, he
made a point of letting me know precisely which side he was on. I haven't spoken to him
since september and he comes over all like "Oh hi mate, I haven't seen you in aaaaages!"
I managed a vaguely curt "Oh, what do you want?" And he procedes to tell me how he's been
arrested. 

He's lost his job and they've confiscated his PC and cellphone. And his girlf dumped him.
He's due in court next month. I ask him what he got arrested for. He changes the subject.
I ask him if he was downloading music, he says "No" and changes the subject. I ask if he
was hacking, he says "No" and changes the subject.

My girlf snorts at him "You fucking Paedophile." and walks off. I look at him and he goes
red. I say "Dude..." and he just nods and looks at his feet.

Now here's the part where i'm curious if it makes me a bad person.

In the middle of the street in the center of the second largest city in the country,
during rush hour, I laugh in his face. I laugh hard. I laugh hard enough that I have to
hold me stomach.  I say "How's that karma feel now, bitch?" I laugh some more. "What, you
expected to get sympathy from me? After that shit you pulled with me last year? Talk to
someone who cares." I start to walk off. Then I hesitate and turn around. He looks at me,
utterly destroyed as he was obviously expecting help. I point at him and I say "You
shouldn't have fucked with me. THIS MAN HERE IS A PAEDOPHILE. HE'S BEEN ARRESTED BY THE
POLICE FOR USING HIS PC TO LOOK AT CHILD PORN."

I smile at him and mouth "Fuck you." Then I walk away as a number of office workers and
several very large builders start in his direction.
