I've been going to outdoor raves ("Doofs") in Tassie for a long time and I had a
heart-attack that we were the only ones @ Opposing Forces with a tent! Doesn't anyone
session anymore!?! Looking forward to helix (outdoor trance festival this weekend), next
twin tribes etc. but I'd still prefer the laid back scene and acid trance @ the forest
festival any day. I'm also trying to get a bit of the Doof crew up to Insomnia regular in
a few weeks. I think the place has what it takes (good music and far too much room!) to
become quite the inner-city rave zone. |

ummm yeah,,,Helix was cancelled a couple of weeks after it was advertised...so yeah...Don't know exactly what your talking about...ANyway, as far as i know, insomnia leaves a bit to be desired as far as music, and also atmosphere is concerned.......It has jus changed owners, and the Dj's playing there are ok, but i wee bit young i think......ANyway, whatever gets you off i say! |

I'm talking about the doofs at Jackies marsh and judbury which have been going on for a decade. A whole rich history of dance culture being dumped for wharf-side raves (not that they aren't fun ;). Helix was cancelled, oh well. Twin tribes is coming up on the 21st - 23rd of February and will be great. You can go to a rave anywhere, only Tasmania has the history and the scene for these kinds of events. Make use of it! People come from all around the world to go to our outdoor events! |
