Rockwell D Heats Potty Mouth Music Label with “Burning Up”
EP
Birmingham duo debuts first, full length house EP for PMM feat. Scott
Cooper remix

CHICAGO—Rockwell D returns to the Potty Mouth Music spotlight for the first time since
fall 2008 with “Burning Up,” the label’s latest house-heavy EP featuring three
original new tracks and a remix by Potty Mouth artist Scott Cooper. The production duo of
Ade Robinson and Sheff H. made waves on Potty Mouth Music with their remix of Pete
Vaydex’s “My Orange Vacuum Cleaner” released as part of PMM 015 “Time for Time
Out” EP. Now Rockwell D takes their solo production talents to the forefront on PMM
021, bringing an inflated brand of energy and funk set to work crowds until dawn.

Rockwell D is no stranger to frenzied crowds. As residents at the renowned Birmingham
clubs of Miss Moneypennys and Gatecrashers, Robinson and Sheff have been attracting
attention of partygoers for more than five years. What began as a solo residency for
Robinson soon turned into a partnership after the two met in 2006. Robinson helmed the
decks while Sheff, a business minded and technically-savvy DJ, shopped for new music
opportunities. His background as a house remixer for London’s Relentless Records led to
them teaming up and remixing side project for one of Miss Moneypennys owners.

“We went in the studio and nailed three mixes—one which was used on the release,”
Sheff says. “We have a great understanding and balance in the studio together, which
made for a great start to the Rockwell D project.”

Since then, the duo has kept their production pace as high-energy as their house tracks
For their latest Potty Mouth coup, Rockwell D presents “Burning Up,” an EP featuring
three original tracks including, “Your Can’t Cool,” “Tempo Critical” and
“Crazy Hoe.” Potty Mouth’s Cooper lends his remix skills to “You Can’t Cool”
turning out a twisted version of the original that chugs with a globular bassline paired
with funky grooves.

In addition to their latest release on Potty Mouth Music, Rockwell D continues to tour
globally, hold down regular play dates in Ibiza, Russia and Switzerland. There recent
success on Urbanfire Records includes their original mix of “Girls Meltdown” feat.
Gappy Ranks simultaneously hitting the No. 1 spots on djdownloads.com hip hop and garage
Top 100 charts. The success of “Whats Up” and “Plain Loco” also on Urbanfire has
further increased the visibility and viability of Rockwell D on underground and
commercial dance scene.

Robinson says he takes his mission to heart.

“When I play, I aim to have total control of the dance floor, give the crowd an
unforgettable and uplifting experience and to play something fresh—all the while
considering the impact of the music,” he says.

 POTTY MOUTH MUSIC (Chicago):
  www.pottymouthmusic.com

Screw soap the mouth; the brand of jack that defines Chicago's new-school house sound
gets a tech-heavy makeover from the talent roster of Potty Mouth Music. Inspired by the
dirty glitch twists of fidget house producers such as Switch, Trevor Loveys and Jesse
Rose, Potty Mouth ditches conventional house boundaries, imploring turntable trickery,
unconventional loops and straight up techno into its catalogue of tracks. Chicago-based
label head James Amato keeps house-heavy influences in place and lacing them with the
kind of dirty glitch that makes it feel so good to be so bad. Potty Mouth's artists
include Crookers (Italy), Santiago & Bushido (Chicago), HiJack (UK), Dj Fame (New York),
The Bulgarian (UK), Heavyfeet (UK), Cops & Robbers (Chicago), Electric Soulside
(Belgium), Andy George (UK), Scott Cooper (UK), Klaus Hill (Australia), Mightyfools
(Netherlands), Adam Bozzetto (Australia), TJR (New York), Chris James & Lee Dearn (UK),
Urchins (UK), Pette Vaydex (Slovenia), Rockwell D (UK) and Kyle Watson (South Africa).
