BABY GEE (QLD) -
"The No.1 QLD DJ Returns"
Baby Gee would be well considered an important keystone of Queensland DJ Royalty for the
name of Baby Gee is a well worn dance moniker along the east coast of Australia. His
talents have been particularly recognised in 2006 as the People’s Choice for Best DJ,
taking out the number 1 position in Queensland for the inthemix technics Top 50 DJs
Awards. However, this accolade was eclipsed, by taking out the rank of #4 for inthemix
technics Top 50 DJs Awards in Australia.
He is particularly proud of his own track Supaman which features on Bass Australia’s
DVD – verifying Gee’s eternally revolving musical mind. He has become a favorite at
Bass and for those who have seen him know his performances are always electric.
BEXTA (MIXOLOGY DIGITAL RECORDS) -
"Australia's No.1 Female DJ/Producer"
BeXta is Australia's undisputed number one female dj and one of Australia's leading dance
music producers. She has dominated the trance and hard dance scene for over a decade now.
BeXta tours Australia continuously both live and as a dj, and has recently graced the
shores of Canada, Scotland, London, New Caledonia, New Zealand and Europe. She has spent
the last year developing her label Mixology Digital Records and Bass Boomers will
showcase some of the labels latest talent. There might even be a few surprises on the
night.
ARCHIE (SYD) -
"Hard Trance and Signature Scratchin!"
With over 12 years experience and recently coming in at # 9 on the Australian Technics DJ
Poll, Archie has risen to being one of Australia's top DJs. Earning himself a solid
following from early on, playing clubs and gigs in his home town of Canberra, Archie
created a strong underground following by creating a unique blend of production talent
and mixing skills. By playing numerous events in and outside the party scene, he became
one of the most prominent movers and shakers in the Australian dance industry.
SYSTEM BOT "LIVE" – (ADEL)
FIRST TIME AT BASS
"Big Day Out & WOLF CREEK Music"
Dj Rob little (Rob Biancetti) and Dj Datman (Justin Astbury) are “SystemBot” -
production outfit & live act and are a very tight & energetic live duo. Recently the boys
were named as one of the winners of the BK - “Systematic” remix comp and their remix
is out now on Riot London (trackitdown.net).
They are currently getting great airplay & support around the country for their track
“Ready Or Not” and it went to No.1 in Adelaide and Darwin. Their “Digital
Recordings" record label has had a string of releases to date, the most successful has
been Rob's track “Pulsate” which gained great notoriety when picked up by Timo Mass
and was included on the cd that accompanied the biggest dance music magazine in the
world, “Mix Mag”. They also did the music for the hit Australian music “Wolf
Creek” and this year played live at Big Day Oot. Is there anything these guys cant do?
These guys are definitely worth seeing.
TyDi (BRIS)
"Mixology Digital Records – Family Nightclub”
The latest gift from Queensland, Australia to the global Dance scene is tyDi. At just 19
years old, tyDi has claimed the position of #12 in the Inthemix Technics Top 50 national
DJ poll and #3 for his home state of Queensland. As a DJ, tyDi’s skills and flair for
interactive performance are in great demand.
In 2006 tyDi’s remixes and productions were signed to “Mixology Digital Records”,
with his original tune ‘Familiar Streets’ (featuring Holly Ryan on vocals) released
internationally as a record and on CD single. ‘Familiar Streets’ appears both in its
original form and as a remix on beXta’s compilation “Mixoloy 9”. tyDi’s track
“Is It Cold” also features on the compilation.
This is a DJ Not to be missed.
PATTICK CARRERA (SYD)
"Mixology Digital Records – Home Nightclub”
- One of Australia's rising stars.
Patrik Carrera is a young talented DJ/Producer who has already clearly earned his place
in the trance scene and has defiantly set the stage of things to come. Residing in Sydney
Australia, at the age of 23 Patrik is constantly developing his talent. A young man with
many talents, Patrik is a well-respected member of the Australian Dance Music Community.
As a Dj he is no doubt always applauded for the style in which he shapes his sets; with
showstopping technical skill applied to using a combination of intelligent track
selection, tight mixing and a never ending assault of samples, on the fly remixes and
sheer wizardry behind the decks. Filling the hours between his gig’s and studio time,
he sits behind the mic at 2RDJ FM co-hosting the popular ‘Radio Transmission’
programm every Saturday night from 8-10pm delivering his sound to a sizeable listener
base across Sydney.
!WARNING! - "LIVE" - Steve Black and Elysium
1.The act of one who warns the existence of harsh sound!
2. A threat or sign that something bad is going to happen!
These boys aren't afraid to push and even exceed the limits of sound! WARNING they may
cause permanent hearing dysfunction!
In early 2004 Steve Black and Elysium began
work on an experimental project that would end up holding the Australian rave scene in an
iron grip. A project suitably titled WARNING. The background behind this is simple;
No
Boundaries, Anything Goes!
The Warning sound is based around the underground techno
spectrum fluctuating between schranz, acid and even tech-trance.
Warning have been responsible for several rave killers over the past few years such as -
Warning - Speak&Spell (F.U.C.K......U)
- Theory,
- Mental Breakdown and who could
forget their MASSIVE remixs of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" & the anthemic East 17s -
"Allright" & "House of Love", which were played last set at Gods Kitchen 2005!
DR WILLIS - (Detox Records)
"Australian Music is on the move"
From regular interstate performer to internationally acclaimed producer via 2006/7. The
Doctors productions have topped charts and soldout store worldwide as of late.
‘Go Away’ with Scott Alert has fast become a worldwide anthem and the whos who of the
trance world are all featuring it regular in their sets. His next release with Mark Sherry
has been currently charted by Judge Jules and was one of the biggest tracks at
Tranceenergy in Holland early in March. Later in the year he will be playing at Defqon 1
Festival with Jowan back to back and then the 1st ever Oz artist to play at the infamous
Dance Valley with a tour of Europe to follow. Where to from here? Well with 4 more new
tracks finished and another CD release only around the corner it would be a
understatement to say that Australian Music is on the move.!!!
