I am a bassist and composer looking for a guiatrist who knows a bit about jazz chords and
who appreciates bands like Tool, Yes, Floyd, Mars Volta and local bands like Bushido,
Butterfly Effect.  You should appreciate Steely Dan and have a broad appreciation of good
music.

I have a drummer and need a guitarist (or possibly keyboardist) to play cool jazz chords
over the top of some slightly heavy (but pleasant) bass lines.  Plus some soloing. 
Opportunities for compositional collaboration on somgwriting, but I have song structures
worked out if you want to just play.  The goal is to create a true blend of jazz and
metal without becoming fusion or that rubbish people have attempted to label as jazz
metal.  The sound would be very much "soft metal" with haunting jazz chords and
interesting time signatures.  Without descending into Mars Volta cacophany (though they
are a very good band).

Mature attitude required - ability to communicate and share thoughts and feelings is
