Greetings from someone in Vermont in the US: I am inquiring about places in New Zealand or Australia where I might participate in a permaculture community. I am a 44 year old man who has spent his life as a psychotherapist, body therapist, facilitator for healing, educator, radio dj, and organic gardener. I have taken one 2-week Permaculture training and am eager to learn more. My life has taken some turns recently. My mother was murdered in August, I had to put my oldest dog down in November, and the country of my birth has taken a political turn which makes this a much less desireable place for me to live. I'd like to be in a self sustaining or nearly so community of people where I can live with respect to the land and the other inhabitants. I thought that would be happening here in Vermont in the US but things here are taking a different turn. I'm wondering if you have any ideas of places in New Zealand where a person like me would be able to land and live, learn, and offer what I have to offer.
