"Toyfriend Music" is a digital record label based in Odessa, Ukraine.

Our aim is to bring hi quality electro & techno crossover stuff from worldwide producers
varying from groovy tech-house, groovy and funky techno to electro-techno.

The label catalogue is divided in two parts: regular releases from worldwide techno
producers ("Toyfriend") and set of special releases ("Toyfriend Special").

The next release on Toyfriend comes from Spanish EBM electro-techno artists Strange
Connection. Here on Toyfriend we are proud to present their already known track
“Midnight In Paris” (2 on Dave Clarke’s april 2008 chart) with new versions from
the biggest guys of the scene.

Strange Connection is a project that was born in Terrassa city in late 2006 as an idea of
Santi Serrate and Roger Salmeron to unify under one name their concerns in the production.
They already have spent more than 10 years dedicated to electronic music, as DJ's under
the names Steve Johanson & Deck Larsson, in the production and the direction of their own
label Properproud created in 2005. With the creation of Strange Connection they started
with new electro-techno and EBM. Creating and producing tracks where you can observe
their influences -ranging from classics like Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, Laisons Dangerous…
until new producers such as The Hacker, David Carretta, Millimetric… -and his own
style. 
The first appearance of Strange Connection in a club took place on May 11th, 2007 in the
club Le Tryptique ( Paris – FRANCE ) in one of his popular Scandale Party (in which
played artists like Terence Fixmer, Franz & Shape,… etc.). But their performances as
Steve Johanson & Deck Larsson have taken place on dozens of clubs and festivals like
Moog, Code Club, etc. They had residences in clubs like Ciclik, Dob Club or Warm Up Room
and played with artists like Millimetric, STAMBA Robert Calvin, Delon & Dalcan, Inaky
Marin Jaumetic, SWAT Squad, Freitzetglauben Crew, etc… 
Currently, they are concentrated in the creation of their Live Act, the production of new
tracks and the reappearance of Properproud at the scene stood again as one of the best
electro-techno and EBM labels. Strange Connection is still a young project, but it will
provide new airs to the scene, good productions and a clear spirit by relaunching a style
that currently doesn’t enjoy much public as before. 

The release comes with excellent electro-techno remixes from French Millimetric
(GoodLife, Properproud), Italian Adriano Canzian (International Deejays Gigolos) and
Ukrainian Codename Guard (8311, Toyfriend) and an instrumental mix of the original track.
For the fans of early Goodlife and Gigolo records a must have release!
