Hi All, I am a Perth raver who is flying over to see Tiesto on the 3rd of May. I normally turn up in all my rave gear or anything that glows in that matter. :P I just want to know what sort of clothing Sydney ravers wear so I don't look out of place with everyone else! Cheers and look forward to partying it up with you all on the 3rd of May! xox Chevy |

I think that depends how you define the word "raver" there are the mainstream scenes where people try so hard to "fit in" that they end up looking like clones. - and - there are the underground parties like the one last night where you can dress to have fun rather than the usual boring "try to fit in so that dodgy bouncers let you in". You can be as flamboyant and strange as you want! and if you choose not to dress up that is ok too! (its about having fun not judging people!) I say don't worry about the opinions of people who are so insecure themselves that everything has to look a certain way or else they get scared. - get to some underground parties! You will find more interesting music at the underground parties too. |

Hey, Thanks for the advice, sorry for the delay. Yeah I just came back from Sydney. Unfortunately I showed up to Tiesto in my rave gear and a grand total of 20 ravers were dressed up in their clothing. Not freakin happy. But it was a good gig anyways. I think the rave scene has kinda died down over there from what i witnessed. I am from Perth and rave is still going hard in most clubs and what not. All I saw that night was girls in cocktail dresses and hell snobby people that were constantly dissing what i was wearing. Not cool. It really annoyed me because there were so many people there that you could tell that they have only ever heard of Tiesto once and went to his concert as "a place to be seen". Grr. Thanks anyways dude! And next time in the NSW, I will definitely have to check out these underground parties. xox Chevy |
