There're only two record stores in Bangkok where you can find quality stuff. First one is called Mix-Up. The store specializes in prograssive house/trancy stuff. However, if you're into techno you'll love this place since they've put all the vinyls in discount bins. (but since I pretty much took most of them so I dunno what's left nowadays) Another store is Jazzbah Records. The name speaks for itself. This store is a must for you jazzheadz. Anything from latin jazz, nu-bossa, breaks, tech house, downgrooves, 60's soul, B-movies themes, etc. Just let me know when you come down to BKK. I'll be more than pleased to take you around town. And oh, if you're a DJ yourself, bring in some vinyls, you can definitely show your skill on open dates at some clubs. P.L.U.R. Mai |

Hi Agent, I think Mai pretty much answered your question. There's only 2 decent record stores in Thailand: Mix-Up and Jazzbah. Depending on the style of house you're into, Mix-Up sell commercial/hard/prog house, while at Jazzbah you'll find some soulful/deep/tech house. They've also got a website you can check out (www.jazzbah.com). To be honest, if you live in Europe, you'd be better off buying your stuff there as records are a bit pricy here. Good Luck. Mo |
