With WE ARE LONDON’s reputation growing amongst industry and clubbers alike, the hosting of the main room at Eden Ibiza and this year’s events at Pacha highlight its commitment to bringing together an international crowd with the mixed music policy of underground and funky tech house, dirty electro and groovy techno. Not one for bland, formulaic lineups, the WE ARE LONDON promoters chose Pete Gooding for its event at The White House after listening to his set at Space on the terrace and thinking it the best set of the night. Not surprising given that he was voted Best Ibizan DJ 2002 and has played for the past 8 years at Café Mambo , providing the dancing sunset moments the island is famous for. From chill-out to cutting edge electronic music, Pete’s high-class sound has gained personal support from the world’s top DJs from Sasha to Jeff Mills and led to his playing across the globe every weekend for the past 9 years in over 55 countries. As likely to appear in a set by Laurent Garnier, Tom Middleton and Dubfire as it is by David Guetta, Pete Tong or Groove Armada, Pete Gooding’s sets are in demand from festivals like the Big Chill, Pete Tong’s Essential Mix and cheeky underground soirees in Croatia. And now with his productions including remixes for Groove Armada, Ultraviolet, Yoshitoshi and Cheryl Cole, receiving support from the underground and commercial streams alike, Pete Gooding’s class take on all things house looks to become even more popular in 2010. Second headliner for the WE ARE LONDON event and again an Ibizan gem is the slammin’ and jammin’ drummer and percussionist Ian C , invited back after his rip-roaring debut at W.A.L. launch in April. Having played across the globe in countries including China, Tokyo and South Korea for the Hed Kandi tour of Asia, Moscow, Dubai, Notting Hill Carnival, and live to the UK from Ibiza for Galaxy Radio, Ian C is best known for rocking the legendary Sunset Terrace of Space for the past two years. Supported by Roland and Boss his beats have supported DJs across the globe from old skool Carl Cox, Danny Rampling, Roger Sanchez, Erik Morrillo, Steve Lawler and Sister Bliss to current 'A' listers including, Ibiza legend DJ Alfredo, Martijn Ten Velden, Sander Kleinenberg, Chris Lake, Jon Carter, Tom Novy, and Seamus Haji. The man described as “great” by Mark Broadbent, the promoter of We Love Space, is set to add his unique take on the dance floor and, together with Pete Gooding, create a party worthy of you and all those in living, loving and rocking in London who want and expect just that little bit more.
