ORB FESTIVAL IS CANCELED. WE ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH COALESCE FESTIVAL. Dear Friends, It has come to our attention that a number of collaborators are working together to organize “Coalesce Festival” at the same location and on the same dates previously planned for Orb Festival 2010. This has resulted in a great deal of confusion, prompting a slew of phone calls and messages to the Orb Crew. Some posts about the new festival give the impression that “Coalesce” is simply Orb Festival under a new name. Specifically, the post on Ravelinks entitled “Orb Festival is now Coalesce Festival”, was VERY misleading. We are not sure how or why this idea is getting around, but we would like to put a stop to it right now. Orb Festival will not be taking place in 2010, at any location, or under any other name. The Orb Festival is not a collaborator in the organizing, funding, or publicizing of this “Coalesce Festival”, or any other festival this summer season. We are happy that in our absence the community has organized a summer gathering, however please understand that we will not be involved, and festival-goers should not expect an Orb style event. The Orb Festival will have its next edition in the summer of 2011, building on the vibe, style, and quality which we have worked hard to establish over the years. We are focused on delivering the top-notch festival experience- sonic, visual, and otherwise, - that our followers have come to expect. See you there in 2011! It seems like just the blink of an eye since we closed the book on Orb Festival 2009, yet a new year has already arrived. We are happy to announce the 4th annual outdoor gathering of Orb Festival, taking place Thursday, June 10th through Sunday, June 13th 2010 at Ramblewood Rustic Resort in Darlington, Maryland! This year we are planning a landmark edition of Orb Festival featuring the choicest electronic artists from around the globe in conjunction with remarkable installations and stage designs on a massive scale. Orb 2010 will host three stages of music including full psy, top underground minimal techno, and world music. As usual, festival-goers can enjoy the beautiful Orb flea market , camping sites, tribal drum circles , yoga classes, meditation , workshops , kids area, swimming , the Orb festival fire , and food court (including vegetarian and vegan cuisine). The 2010 location, Ramblewood Rustic Resort, is conveniently located less than an hour from Baltimore’s international airport, just over an hour from Philladelphia, and only three hours from NYC - tucked away in seclusion a half mile from the nearest roads. This ideal location offers a wealth of well-maintained facilities for the enjoyment of our guests. Ramblewood also has multiple indoor and outdoor sports facilities such as the Olympic-sized swimming pool and diving Pool.
