Sacramento Film Festival:
A New Take on Film Artistry
March 30th to April 3rd, 2005
Welcome to a very important local arts event, The Sacramento International Film Festival,
March 30th to April 3rd, 2005 at the beautiful Crest and Tower theaters.
This year, we are proud to welcome super producer John Daly (Terminator, Hoosiers, The
Last Emperor) for a one of a kind cinema experience. John's films have won a combined 26
Academy Awards including two for best picture (Platoon and Salvador). On Saturday, April
2nd, The Sacramento Film Festival will premiere Mr. Daly's new film, the Aryan Couple,
starring Academy Award winner, Martin Landau. In addition to The Aryan Couple, the
festival will screen nearly sixty films from around the world over a five-day period.
Some have won Academy awards, some have won Emmys, but all are unlike anything you will
see at your local cineplex.
The mission of the Sacramento Film Festival is to be a catalyst for greater appreciation
of cinema as art, build the local filmmaking community and work with Hollywood and
independents alike to expand film industry activities in the Capital region. To that end,
this festival will feature the most comprehensive representation of local films ever
seen,
including 6 all new, all local showcases that are sure to please every audience. The
Festival takes place at the beautiful Crest and Tower theaters as well as other exciting
venues throughout the greater Sacramento region. We are proud to offer this first class,
all cinema event in celebration of Cinema art and encourage you to attend one or all of
these fantastic programs.
