The legendary music from two of the greatest names in rock music comes to life in a very special event entitled "EXPERIENCE - A Tribute to Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan" - featuring three of Australian finest rock and blues musicians, Kevin Borich, Mal Eastick & Steve Edmonds. Like millions of people around the world these three performers have been influenced by the music of Hendrix and Vaughan and for many years they have incorporated the essence of the two legends into their own playing, becoming disciples of the style. Hendrix's music in particular helped shape a generation. His arrival and subsequent performances in United Kingdom in the late sixties turned the British music scene on it's head. Players such as Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, Jeff Beck and many more were absolutely astounded at what Hendrix was able to achieve with his guitar and outrageous stage persona. He was a black superstar that had massive appeal to white audiences both male and female. On the other hand Vaughan's legacy is that he resurrected the blues with a Hendrix inspired rock approach. His ferocious guitar playing reverberated around the world, inspiring countless players along the way. This show will revisit timeless rock and blues classics such as Jimi's Voodoo Chile, Manic Depression, Foxy Lady, and Purple Haze, and Stevie's classic Cold Shot, Texas Flood, Couldn't Stand The Weather and Pride & Joy. Hendrix's influence continues to define rock music as we know it. Vaughan's explosive playing took the world by storm. Both took their music into the stratosphere and beyond.
