there's this incredible urban-legend/story circulating about these days. it's about how
alicia keys went around shopping her demo-music to various record labels before she was
"discovered". according to legend a very well-known indie label actually had her material
in their possession when she was looking for a deal - but... the a&r passed her up! i give
that as an example of what NOT to do in this situation... DON'T SLEEP!!!
