I live in Bobcaygeon and I'm not happy with the rave coming to our quiet town. So many aren't. Yes this picturesque town is why we moved here not to be entertainted by raves....shame |

there is no shame in a rave. they are full of the most fun loving caring people in the
world. a rave doesnt have people fighting and getting drunk and causing trouble. it
usually lasts about a day but some do last longer but eventually they do move on. Raves
are always looked at as a place to get high on extacy and other drugs but people dont see
that behind all the highly over rated comments and bullshit stories there is something
amazing going on. people that DO actually care about you and people that do love you. ALL
Raves are based on ONE "1" simple concept and that is called P.L.U.R. PLUR stands for
Peace Love Unity and Respect. this why i think if a Rave is coming to your town you
should welcome it and help to make sure it is a success.

As a local teenager i wanted to give you MY input, this is (like Bruce wrote) a very quiet
town... it does not leave much for all the kids/ teens that live here to do, i didnt go to
the rave this year because i was working at my summer job (because that is about all there
is to do around here), but i talked to lots of the kids that went, and they were all very
nice, polite people. This event brought people from all over the world, to our little
town of bobcaygeon, and thats really cool!
i cant wait till next year, (if they hold it here again) i will definetly be going,
thanks to all the DJ's who made it possible for me to hear the wicked music from my
bedroom! 0 0

hey bruce your prayers have been answered. wemf is no longer going to you lil town. it is now in Tweed. and you should go. i was for the longest time a huge anti-raver then 4 years ago i went to one. it changed my life from the pathetic shell of a life i had to a cultured filled life i now have. raving has brought me to africa for solipse (a 10 day psy-trance hippy rave. it has brought me to amsterdam. and i am hoping soon i will be in brazil at a party and in asia. it can open your eyes to see things you could never imagine and culturalexperience you could never fathom. before you knock it down live it up. and talk to people. they are the nicest people. i mean we all know canadians are nice and so are ravers...if you put those two together you get the nicest most plurriest people around. |

I couldn't agree more I've been going to raves for years why do I still go you might ask? because the the vibe is friendly and the music is sometimes a wonderful journey! (can you think of a better way to experience a beautiful sunrise than being with friendly people dancing to great music?) and its safe (how often do you see fights at a rave? In the many years I've been raving I've seen very few fights. Compare that with your average club or bar!) What are you doing looking at a rave site if you don't like raves? why does it worry you so much? do you feel like you won't be welcome at the party? well perhaps you should go and see for yourself. you might discover its actually really friendly! Its not about drugs or exclusive little scenes, its about bringing people together! peace love unity respect |
