Whats going on over there in Deutchland. I am of german decent living in america and recent political statements have almost made me want to revert to my 1/10 scottish and say I am Scotch American. Believe me when I say that most Americans are not looking for war with Iraq, and If the United Nations decides to condone it then they must see proof from Bush that the american people have not even seen. I hope that the German People don't stand by their politicians with statements like those made recently comparing Bush to Adolf Hitler. After all, aren't we americans in this Terrorist Mess because of Supporting and Protecting the Jewish state of Israel....Oh yeah, I forgot...Hitler was a big supporter of the Jews, he supported an Army to wipe them out. When Politicians the Germans have elected start making references to American Politics as Nazi-Like, it really concerns the Citizens of the U.S. Believe me when I say that we don't believe half of the Scheiss that comes out of Washington. I really don't know why the US supports Israel so adamantly. Isn't it common sense that 3 million white people surrounded by 300 million arabs, probably don't belong there...but because of the atrocities unleashed on the Jews in WWII, no one in the world will say 1 bad thing against them except the Arabs(and whose to say that these palestinians don't have the right to blow themselves up in there homeland as an only weapon against the Israeli war machine). They refer to Palestinians as Terrorists, but they believe that they are attacking on there own homeland to drive out an enemy...Not fighting a country they hate (LIKE ISLAMIC EXTREMEISTS BOMBING AMERICA IN AMERICA) but fighting a people they hate because they have taken away many of their civil rights and libertys...not to mention property. Anyway, just something to chew on...I brag up my heritage of Germany being the home of some of the greatest minds, and musicians in history, and hearing comments from this great land portraying Americans as Nazis is sickening. johann |

hitler to bush is clear as day im french-canadian/german and i believe bush is a modern day pseudo-politicaly correct hitler-2k well lets not say bush lets say the american government.. the u.s. tricks its citizens into thinking they have a choice on who to vote for when no matter who becomes president they seem to keep the same agenda. hitler burned a german national monument and made people believe it was jewish communists. wich got most germans to believe that the jews were the problem.. the u.s. government flys 2 planes into a national monument blames it on a couple afghans they cant find and boom the american government has the right to start spending billions of tax dollars on theire army. history has a way of repeating itself dont ignore the signs |

Oh my. That last reply was scary. I've been in Germany for a little over 3 months. I can tell you that the same sort of people who are comparing Bush to Hitler are of about the same mentality as the Americans who elected Bush namely for his stance on the war in Iraq. It's good to know there are ignorant people everywhere, even in a country with such an awesome intellectual history and reputation as Germany! Don't worry, most of the Germans I've encountered, from intellects to the brattiest anti-Bush teenager, would never make this comparison. Be proud of your German ancestry; I sure am proud of mine! |

The comparison is so clear, evidence supported and well argumented that I don't think anyone should be offended. Yes, half (I don't know how big that offocial half is, and doubt its size but cannot proof anything about it), well half of fellow Americans supports that figure. I've seen this fanatism not only in my co-workers but even in my partner. This blindness will cost us a disaster. It already does. Then, like it happened to the Germans, years will pass and an unaswerable question will arise: How could it happen to a great nation?... |
