Recently, Chicago is gradually becoming a hot spot for filmmakers. Governor Rob
Blagojevich has expressed his strong interest in Chicago and Illinois becoming a popular
location for films and television shows. Just this past week, our governor has signed
legislation extending tax breaks for movie producers and even more benefits if these
movie makers hire more minorities from Illinois to work with them. This has all become a
dream come true for young, aspiring Chicago filmmakers, which is why I’ve sent you this
email…

 

10 teens were selected from across Chicago to create a short film. They went through a
grueling casting call, hours of pre-production, and one intensely long day of shooting.
Finally, we all ganged together and edited our final piece. Now, we are proud to present
our film, “Bargain Basement” to not only people across Chicago, but people all over the
globe.

 

This is something that we are all proud of. Instead of us being on the streets or instead
of us being involved in criminal behavior, we are more interested in filmmaking, something
we all have a strong passion for. We would all love to be able to see our hard work being
appreciated and we hope that when you watch our film at www.fresh-films.com, you can
watch it with an open mind. We’re sure that you’re going to enjoy it because we made it
just for you, the viewer! 

 

Our Chicago teens would greatly appreciate your vote to no end. Every single good word,
