What a way to bring in 2007: NYE DUB MISSION STYLE!

Get ready for a night of classic dancehall dub revolution. DR. ISRAEL has been central in
creating a new dub ascetic. Collaborating with legends such as Bill Laswell and Mad
Professor, his boundary-crossing works cry out like a call to revolution, embracing
styles from dub reggae and dancehall to drum'n'bass and hard-core. Like Eddy Grant on a
counter-cultural warpath, Dr. Israel's politically charged lyrics and diverse musical
foundations deliver a refreshing blast of thought-provoking tracks that will make music
fans from all walks stop and tune in. His ability to represent and reprocess his
influences (Black Uhuru, Black Sabbath, Bad Brains, Run DMC, Roni Size) into compelling
new forms is astounding. What ties these styles of music together so organically is his
understanding and deep love for BIG BASS and BIG DRUMS and how to implement that
knowledge. This NYE, he will make an exclusive Bay Area appearance, backed by EDub
(Etheric Double) from West Coast's Resident Anti-Hero, and joined by Dub Mission’s DJ
SEP and VINNIE ESPARZA.
