Why did you get Adelaide DJ HMC to remix It's On ?
We started DJing together and I have a HUGE amount of respect for what he does, so I knew he would slam on the mix. I have a policy of sharing the opportunities - what goes around comes around

What were you doing in Nineteeneightyeight and what were you listening to?
DJing, playing on HMC's 303, going to Sydney for my first Hordern party (Jungle Brothers), listening to LOT of Hip Hop - BDP, EPMD etc.. and tons of house, ala TODD the GOD! and all that 'crazy ACID house music' man

What are your `rave anthems'?
err.... Energy Flash, early Njoi stuff, Tronikhouse, anything by UR etc etc.. everything by Todd Terry.. I wouldn't call any of it 'rave' though!

Do you think all bottled water tastes the same?
Yes, but the stuff at the Urolgy lab seems to have a tang to it doesn't it?

You seem to be one of the busiest members of the dance fraternity...what's on your plate at the mo'?
DJ Beats 2, XLR8 mixes, Coco Lush single, Sugar Pumpers single and album, follow up single to It's On , more remixes of other people's work, a vocal house track for a UK label (shh...)

Is your remix of Dead or Alive's You Spin Me Round a world exclusive? Why is it under the name Sugar Pumpers and not GT? Was that you on stage at Sleaze with Pete Burns?
John Ferris from Dancepool sent out a bunch of DATS with the vocals on them to all the state offices, who in turn gave them out to various people who expressed a desire to remix the track. I guess I just happened to get mine in first when they needed the single to be sent out and wa la! Sugar Pumpers which is the name of a new act I am producing which is more in the vein of the Spin Me.. remix as opposed to another act I produce called Hoops Inc. It wasn't me on stage honest - I was in Bali at the time!!
Finally YES it is a world exclusive, plans are under way for worldwide release

HOOPS iNC. is the creative outlet of Adelaide DJ/TV presenter Steve Hooper who, if you don't know him is kind of a cross between Maynard and Molly ..hahaha (no offence guys!) ie: A complete loony! I handle all the knob twiddling duties and vocals are by Orieta Pires, the most beautiful girl in the world
