Thursday August 7th at 1015 Folsom from 8pm- close. Free admission. 21 & over.
Change is in the air. A major election is right around the corner. Freedom is on everyone's lips - and people are making their voices heard. In honor of this spirit of liberty and choice, we chose as our theme "A celebration of Bay Area independence."
Our annual Best of the Bay party is a celebration of the people, places, and things that make living in San Francisco awesome. It is also a way to honor our 2008 "Best of" winners who are more than just independents, they are individuals and organizations doing their best to keep San Francisco innovative and progressive.
When: Thursday, August 7th, 2008, 8pm. (FREE; 21 and over)
What: The Guardian's 34th Annual Best Of The Bay Party
Who: Four rooms with live music, DJs, burlesque performances by Tease-O-Rama and legendary Emcee Jello Biafra (singer and songwriter for SF punk rock band Dead Kennedys).
Live bands: Raashan Ahmad (Crown City Rockers), Loquat, Sparkley Devil, Hot Tub, Kev Choice Ensemble, Top Ten & Sir Lord Raven
DJ sets by: DJs Sergio Iglesias, Russell Quan, DX the Funky Granpaw, Azeem, Marc Stretch, Sellassie, Silk-E, Ray McCrorey, Ren the Vinyl Archaeologist, California Kid & DJ Brother Grimm.
