“THE CRUXSHADOWS” appearing live in Cambridge on 11/19/08
On November 19th, 2008 addamidiom:productions presents THE IMMORTAL TOUR, featuring the world famous CRUXSHADOWS. The concert will be held at TT the Bear's Place in Central Square, Cambridge. The CRUXSHADOWS are one of the most popular crossover dance rock pioneers of the modern alternative music scene. The event is 18+, $15 at the door or just $13 in advance through Ticketweb.com, and the party starts at 8pm.
The CRUXSHADOWS debuted at #1 and stayed on the US Billboard Dance Singles chart for 18 weeks with their "Sophia” EP in 2006, released on Dancing Ferret Discs. This was an unprecedented surprise and controversial to the major labels, as an independent "goth band" upset Beyonce from the #1 spot! It also debuted at #7 on the overall Singles Sales chart. Then in 2007 the release of "Birthday" debuted at #2, proving to the skeptics that these chart and sales successes were no random accident. The CRUXSHADOWS have toured the world, headlining many of the biggest indie music festivals in Europe, and are the first "gothic" act from the US to be invited to perform in China. They last performed in Boston to a packed house in 2005; on the 2008 IMMORTAL TOUR they are joined by I:Scintilla and The Azoic. Former ManRay djs Chris Ewen and addambombb will work the dance floor between and after the bands.
TT the Bear's Place is also the home of "XMortis", "Chrome" and "Heroes"; all of which are regular dance parties that began at ManRay, a famously infamous goth/ gay/ fetish/ anything goes nightclub that closed in 2005. The show is sponsored in part by Fool's Mansion, a fine club and renaissance apparel boutique in the heart of Witch City, Salem. Addamidiom:productions specializes in alternative nightclub, custom wedding, corporate and creative social events.
