This is a five piece Latin Jazz band with flute, piano, bass, drums ,and congas.
Phoenix Rising has been together for ten years playing mostly original music composed by Andrea Brachfeld. Their latest CD, "Into the World: A Musical Offering" explores many different styles under the heading of Latin Jazz infusing some Yoruban and Hebrew chants as well as some slow blues.
