A unique producer and turntablist with unconventional ways, DJ Baku is one of the most intriguing artists to come out of Japan since DJ Krush. Using a wah-wah pedal and other effects, along with souped-up modern-day turntables, Baku extracts the unimaginable during intense and energetic workouts combining metal, drum‘n’bass, dubstep, electronica and hip hop. Touring Australia for the first time in support of his genre-defying sophomore album 'Dharma Dance', DJ Baku stops off in Melbourne for one night only at The Laundry on Thursday October 9 hosted by Curse Ov Dialect with special guest appearances by local MCs Ivens and Blunted Monk plus ex-Brisbane producer/DJ/remix artist Aoi. Tickets $10 on the door, DJ Baku on stage at 11pm.
