A REVOLUTION IN SIGHT AND SOUND Party technology has advanced over the last decade, with increased laser power and brightness, improvements in the turbo sound systems, and enhancements in the way the intelligent lighting systems are programmed and operated. Both Powerhouse and Overdrive have stayed at the very leading edge of this technology, utilising each advancement to help enhance and expand our total entertainment packages. As a punter you can expect a blinding array of party technology, spread across the biggest venues we have ever used. Video display screens as large as a family home, full colour and argon laser systems capable of taking the Death Star out of commission, intelligent and effect lighting so advanced it will dramatically alter your very perception. A REVOLUTION IN VENUE DESIGN Our chosen venues represent the largest venues of their kind that we have ever used. In total we’re talking about floor space the size of two football fields, a floor space capable of accommodating many thousands of people. We are using our years of advanced party knowledge to create enjoyable spaces for our patrons to dance, to chill, to go on rides and to have an absolutely amazing time. Also we have chosen these areas specifically so we can crank the sound. Our venues are positioned such that they are the furthest from the local community and as such they enable the sound system to be loud all night. DOOR POLICY • Both body pat-downs and bag searches on entry. Anyone found with any prohibited items will be denied entry into the event. • Roaming security teams inside the venue will ensure the event is trouble-free during the event. • Zero tolerance policy on violence and anti-social behaviour. • Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry. • Promoter reserves the right to remove anyone breaking the rules from the event. • No Lads or Lad Clothing. Example - Striped polo shirts or Skin Baseball caps. • Anyone wearing prohibited clothing inside the venue will be removed from the event. • Weapons, illegal drugs, alcohol and chewing gum are prohibited. • Markers and all graffiti tools are strictly prohibited. Anyone found to have these items on them will be refused entry. • If you’re not coming for the love of the music and the scene then please don’t come. • Our Security and Local Police will ensure these policies are enforced throughout the event. DRESS THE PART – GO FLUORO UNITY 2008 will bring together the best International and Australian acts, in a party with what we believe will have the best vibe of any event throughout 2008. Just think of it, this is the launch of the Summer Party Season. We want our thousands of party people to get in the spirit of Summer, go full on mental fluoro. It’s time to get bright and happy. The darkness has departed, winter is behind us and we’re all about partying hard and having a mad time. So here’s the deal: get dressed in fluoro, or white, or orange, or whatever, as long as you’re dressed bright and happy. We’ve brought back the giant UV cannons from our previous events, and with all our crowd dressed the part to party our main arena is going to be brighter than the surface of the sun. Special prizes will be awarded to the best and brightest dressed on the night! Prizes for best dressed will be issued at the door on arrival, winners of these prizes will get the chance to dance on the main stage in front of thousands of people.
