On Air Entertainment is pleased to announce the return of hip hop superstar Xzibit to Sydney in early October 2008. After headlining the Grasshopper festival in Geelong, Xzibit will perform 1 exclusive show at the Forum in Sydney on October 5th before returning to the states.
One of the most respected Emcees in the business, Xzibit's profile has gone from strength to strength, both through his music releases and continuous success as host of MTV's "Pimp my Ride" as well as his appearances in films such as 8 Mile, XxX: State Of The Union, Derailed, Gridiron Gang and his role as 'Agent Mosley Drummy' in the 2008 release X Files: I want to believe.
As one of the West Coast Crew's most notable members, he has released a new album every 2 years since 96'. His 1996 debut release 'At the Speed of Life' earned him a large underground following. Subsequent releases, including 2000's 'Restless' saw him garner both critical acclaim and mainstream success. In the American summer of 2000, Xzibit joined the hugely successful 'Up In Smoke' tour alongside hip hop heavyweights Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube. After record sales in excess of 6 million, and a reputation for performing some of the hottest live shows, 'X' has firmly cemented his place in the hearts and minds of Hip Hop fans worldwide.
Xzibit will take the stage in Sydney for an exclusive Australian performance and the intimate setting of the Forum is sure to make this show one not to be missed.
