Come *05th December 2008*, the *Singapore Dark Alternative
Movement (SDAM)* will revolutionise local club culture once more with
internationally-acclaimed electro-industrial talents, *DJs DestroyX &
ZooG (Angelspit)* of Australia / Germany respectively. As the only
club event featuring exclusively Gothic / Industrial / Electronic
Body Music (EBM) / Darkwave / Future Pop music in Singapore, Dark
Fridays fourth installment promises another stellar night of mayhem
and misdemeanors for devotees of the Goth subculture and dark
alternative music.
Headlining Decembers event are *DJs DestroyX & ZooG (Angelspit)*,
hailing from Sydney, Australia and Berlin, Germany respectively.
Formed in 2004 in Sydney, Australia, the eclectic duo featuring
Amelia DestroyX Tan on vocals and Karl ZooG Learmont on keyboards
has won the dark hearts of fans from all over with their innovative
blend of electro-industrial music, featuring DestroyXs sublime
vocals layered with a crushing bass and stomping beats. This
overwhelming success has seen DJs DestroyX and ZooG supporting
preeminent industrial legends such as Front Line Assembly, KMFDM and
the Cruxshadows on their world tours. As an added benefit, the 5th
December installment of Dark Friday will mark the official Asian
Record Release Party of Angelspits third album, Blood Death Ivory.
Hot off the success of the inaugural Dark Friday held at *Legends
@ orchard (now Moonshine) *on 5th September 2008, followed-by a
sequel on 3rd October, the SDAM has breathed life into local club
culture with an exclusive and bonafide Gothic / Dark Alternative
clubbing experience held at a new haven within the walls of Legends @
orchard. The benchmark-setting event has drawn considerable attention
as the new and emerging Mecca of Dark Alternative Music in Southeast
Asia, since hosting on separate occasions, *DJ Panic *of the
notorious *Slimelight *Goth club in London and *DJ Eskil Simonsson *
of Sweden's darkwave kings *Covenant*.
As Dark Friday is held as a social imperative to promote the Goth
and dark alternative subculture in Singapore, a reasonable S$10 cover
will be requested of all patrons. The uninitiated will find their
musical sensibilities bombarded with music colloquially referred to
as gothic trance or hard floor. Yet familiar dark alternative
anthems are likely to be spun amidst new, groundbreaking releases
with local deck surgeons DJ Saito Nagasaki (Aesgrade), DJ Mentor (
Xho in a guise) and DJ Murderfreak in tow.
Dark Friday has also attained international sponsorship from global
publishing and promotion company *NetManagement* ( www.myspace.com/
netmanagement) who has remained staunch in support since the
Machines Against Hunger launch and charity event (Beneficiary
Action against Hunger) for Singapore and Southeast Asia by SDAM, held
on Friday, 13thJune 2008. As part of their gracious gesture to
relinquish one Friday a month to the alternative social collective,
Legends @ orchard has adapted quickly to SDAMs devoted denizens,
serving up S$15 absinthe shots while also providing a cosmopolitan
outlook on their unique and vibrant aesthetics.

The Singapore Dark Alternative Movement (SDAM), founded in 1998, is a
social collective catering to the needs of the Singaporean gothic and
alternative lifestyle community.
The SDAM focuses on promoting dark alternative culture through
