FAMILY EVENT THIS AUSTRALIA DAY!

The Town of Bassendean is excited to invite the whole family to join them in embracing the spirit of Australia Day.

DATE & TIME: Monday 26th January 2009, from 6.00pm – 9.00pm. A spectacular fireworks display will go off with a bang at approximately 9.00pm.

LOCATION: Festivities will take place in close proximity to the city, at Ashfield Reserve in Bassendean.

ENTERTAINMENT: Former Australian Idol finalist Chris Murphy, a professional musician with 12 years experience and 3 original album releases will be performing on the evening. Chris Murphy delights audiences from all walks of life whenever and wherever he plays, and his performance at the Town of Bassendean’s Australia Day event will surely be no exception!

Town of Bassendean’s Australia Day program also includes a citizenship ceremony and presentation of the Premier’s Australia Day Active Citizenship Awards Not to go unmentioned are various amusement rides to keep the kids entertained, and an array of food stalls to tantalize the taste buds.

ACCESS: Ten-minute drive from the city, Ashfield train station is nearby.
