It's time to get sidetracked at Off the Beat

DJs: Frenzie, BC (SWAT DJs), Yin Yang, SayWhut?!

Venue: Melt, 12 Kellett Street, Kings Cross

Tickets: Free before 10, $5 before 11, $10 after

Time: 9pm - 3am

Take the off the beaten track for Off The Beat!

Set in the cosy confines of Melt in Kings Cross adorned with mismatched lounges, cool artwork and classic record covers (including 1 oversize record) aligning the walls Off The Beat feels more like a rockin house party than a modern club. What better way to start off the weekend's festivities than in a relaxed, cozy environment than to have to adhere to strict door policies and chin-stroker music boffins.

Then there's the music!!! This week sees fbi radio's Jack Prest mix it up before he sets off on an extended world tour taking in all corners of the globe. Joining him will be Midnight Swim who mixes up a nice concoction of disco and classic house treats and closing out the night will be BC of the SWAT DJs who makes a return to the club after smashing it last Saturday with his blend of party flavours.

Rather than labelling the sound as eclectic, the DJs take you on a journey ranging from hip hop, funk, disco, booty-shaking electro with their tongues planted firmly in cheek. Join resident DJs Frenzie, SayWhut?! and a range of DJs on rotation including Yin Yang, BC, Noel Boogie, Brain Matter DJs, Jimmy2Sox, Nick Blair, Mean Jean, Midnight Swim and others for your Saturday night party starter!

Melt: 12 Kellett St, Kings Cross.

$18 cocktail jugs, $6 beers, $6 OFF THE BEAT shots
Get sidetracked and just plain silly. Come for the banter but more importantly for the boogie!!
