Featuring Melbournes premier Beatles Tribute Band THE MELBEATS
If you were in Australia in June 1964 you would have experienced BEATLEMANIA when the FAB 4 from Liverpool came downunder. In Melbourne they played at Festival Hall and were on stage for a total of 34 minutes. You couldn’t hear them because of the screaming! Tickets cost £3 7s 6d which when converted to decimal currency was $6.75c. Applying the average inflation rate this means tickets were around $420 in today’s dollars.
The Melbeats are 4 young Beatle Freaks! They have 3 costume changes (including wigs so as they look like the Beatles). They are serious musicians with 11 different guitars (Rickenbacker, Gibson, Hofner, Gretch) to play all the different Beatles songs you know and love. They have Ludwig Drums, that Ringo used and have Vox Amps so they can get the sound just right.
They have practised for hours on end to perfect those sensational harmonies.
The result is you get to see over 3˝ hours of the best Beatles music that you can sing-a-long or dance or tap your feet – whatever you want.
You are guaranteed to have a fantastic fun night of great music and all for $15.

Carnegie Hall is in The Dutch Club which is licensed. Drinks are very reasonable as it is staffed by volunteer members.
