PIPES COLOURS HONEYTRAP first cast adrift on the murky waters of the Midlands some time in the mid twenty-hundreds. It wasn t long, however, before her brightly coloured sails were spotted as far away as New York, Norway and Japan. Over the course of their travels, the crew acquired a curious cargo of sounds, varying from klezmer to country to garage punk. They gained the admiration of many, including Duke Bowie, and the patronage of the mighty Tough Love Records Trading Company. A school of glittering releases began leaping in their wake, including the EP Let s Do Naked Dancing and the album Follies in Great Cities . Now, with a fresh coat of paint, suitably inflated sails and undoubtedly the sharpest crew to have ever manned the greasy decks, Honeytrap is sailing the crest of a wave on her continuing quest to bring riotously demented indie-folk to your fun-starved shores.
