In early 2010 Dancing Heals made their foray into the live music world In the vain of Band of Horses and Tegan and Sara, the idea was not just to play, but engage, joke, show that were all just dorks in a room. Mashed with a musical soundtrack that is haunted and thumping, miniature and sweeping. Standing alongside them are south side revelers Jaguar Spring - three guys and a girl who play loud, sprawled out indie-pop. They are big into melody and noise. Their music is as grungy as it is dreamy; like an angry shark in a saccharine sea. To kick it all off, the strong arm of On Like Kong will pick you up with their unhindered love of everything from folk pop to noise pop - mish mashing their way all through the alternative 90s. On disc jokey duties, Jarrad Kennedy (The Brutals) will make sure everyone has something sweet to sip through their ears during the night. Tickets $8 on the door.
