The annual Mad Racket Easter Egg Hunt is on again, this time with an all-local lineup featuring the return of Alphatown to the bowlo! Its a back-to-basics shindig giving the regulars a chance to stretch their legs and you a reason to shake yo ass!
Luke Mynott, Adam Zielonka and Andrew Maher aka Alphatown are Sydney lads who have been writing and performing together for over 15 years, carving out their own unique musical niche in the process. Their sound manages to be both psychedelic and streetwise, obscure and impossibly catchy - there's nothing quite like it but it's all designed with boogie in mind. The legendary, pulsating Alphatown live set blurs the boundaries between electro, house and techno, and has reduced many a dancefloor to smithereens. The rare-as-hen's-teeth releases on the band's humble little imprint, Room To Manoeuvre Records, are ravenously consumed by DJs from Tokyo to Chicago, Berlin and back again. The chaps can't wait to get behind the wheel of their all-time favourite big rig - the Mad Racket Bowl-O-Sonic Sound System.
