As part of TransLink Cine Sparks, The Australian Film Festival for Young People, the annual Family Film Fiesta, presented by Brisbane City Council, will be held in the Queen Street Mall, GoMA and King George Square on Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August from 10am.
The family-focused weekend will serve up exciting free movie themed activities and entertainment - including giant puppet shows, marching bands, arts and crafts, workshops for kids to learn the secrets of movie making and seven quality films including Ponyo, Mia and the Migoo, Neukoln Unlimited, The General, Mai Mai Miracle, Little White Lies, The Blue Bird and all-time family favourite The Wizard of Oz.
TransLink Cine Sparks will be held from 27 July to 6 August at the Australian Cinematheque at the Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA). The festival gives young Australians, from ages four to 18, a window into the lives of people from other countries and fascinates and inspires young film-goers.
