Once the infamous singer / songwriter / guitarist from New Zealand legends Connan and the Mockasins; Connan’s now doing it alone, his eccentricities and observational beauty now very much to the fore. Erol Alkan’s Phantasy label were quick to catch on to his understated genius releasing his debut album ‘Please Turn Me Into The Snat’ and catapulting Connan to critical acclaim. Blurring boundaries of fantasy and reality CM manages to produce pop music with a mind bending twist. Look out for Late of the Pier’s Sam in the backing band.

Dee Sada, Billy Trivial and Samir Eskanda make a dream-like, stripped down, garage take on shoegaze that’s caught attention of everybody, even if you weren’t around in 1988. Formed from the ashes of An Experiment On A Bird In The Air Pump they’re a welcome addition to the bill.

Not much is known about this lot except they’ve been around for a very short time and already the buzz is massive. Mates with Yuck and similar in sound they cite Teenage Fanclub as a major influence, respect.

The Dance Magic Dance girls have played at every conceivable party London has thrown our way. Having recently made their debut release (a comp tape) the three ladies with impeccable taste are surely set to be one of the labels for the future.
