Following the traditions of some of the world's freshest club nights such as Mr. Scruff’s "Keep It Unreal", Bugz in the Attic’s "Co-Op" and the Unabombers’ "Electric Chair" Sydney finally welcomes a new weekly night called “Hopscotchin'” where nu-jazz, hip-hop and broken beats slide in and out of dub, DnB, deep house and disco grooves to deliver an overdue night of non-categorised quality music.
Hopscotchin' jumps every Friday night from 8pm–3am at the seductively intimate Uber (behind V-bar at 111 Liverpool St).
Resident DJs Two Up, Edseven and Pete Dot who between them have spun at festivals such as Vibes, Field Day, & Big Day Out and broadcast live sets on Ninjatune’s Solid Steel Sessions and Triple J's mix up programs. Credentials like this don’t just happen. These guys have been seeking the freshest sounds for the last decade and are constantly delivering the goods with their unassuming, unquestionable taste and skills.
Also expect some of Sydney’s finest tastemakers to be regular surprise guests such as Mako, Somatik, Jay White, Simon Caldwell, Huwston, Eli and Jeff Fellows laying down crisp, quality beats covering the whole genre of “Quality”.
Jazz stylings and soulful sounds will be leading into the freshest dancefloor beats from around the globe every Friday as Hopscotchin' delivers a wide array of worthy music for a wide array of worthy people. What up until now has been exclusively ‘summer festival’ music is finally an essential weekly happening for those who crave fresh and mature sounds.
