CNET's Next Big Thing at Vivid Ideas: The Future of Consumer Technology

Thursday, 31st May 2018

Venue: Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, 140 George Street 201 Elizabeth St, The Rocks

Time: 8am - 10am

The Back to the Future sci-fi movie got some things right and some things wrong when it came to tech predictions and while flying cars and hover boards may still be a âsomewhat' distant reality, we are actually on the very cusp of some very real predictions making it to real life and not just on the big screen.

Join Brian Cooley, US Editor at Large for CNET.com, part of the CBS Interactive network, as he discusses the key areas that consumer technology is set to revolutionise and disrupt right here, right now.
What makes good technology? And what lies ahead for brands into the future? All questions Brian will be tackling on the day.

During a keynote presentation, Cooley will look at artificial intelligence, 5G and computer vision and the impacts they'll have on Mobile Phones, OTT, Automotive, Wellness & Health, Smart Home, VR/AR and everything in between.

In added time, Cooley will then be joined by a panel of expert guests to talk everything from self-driving cars to talking houses.
The panel will look at the next big trends in consumerisation of technology that are only tomorrow away and how they'll impact everyday life for all.

We've just put a car in space but is there space for everyone's car in the future - a session not to be missed.
