Hailing from Sydney The Dolly Rocker Movement is a soundscape that you just have to experience to believe. With ideas derived from the more primitive side of the great rock n’ roll divide The Dolly Rocker Movement have developed a style and sound bearing a true influence of late 60’s garage, psychedelia and freakbeat, with splashes of west coast folk.
The Dolly Rocker Movement launches their debut album 'Electric Sunshine' (Out now on Off The Hip Records) into the pulsating confines of your inner existence at two Melbourne shows:
Thursday 3 August – At Ding Dong Lounge with Tic Toc Tokyo, Bungalow Sounds and Detective Social.
Saturday 5 August – Cobra Room at The Tote with Lords of Gravity.
“This band is a soundscape that you just have to experience to believe, and they WANT you to believe.” – Faster Louder
“These guys really are the spit. They effortlessly mesmerize. Enthralled? You should be. Huge? They should be.”- Steve Anderson, Drum Media
“Mightily impressed...we mean it man...excellent swinging-sixties tinged psych-pop hypnosis”- Murray Engleheart, Drum Media.
“Why can't anyone in the States make music this brilliant? Can't wait for your first album...” – Greg Shaw (RIP), Bomp Records
