Swat DJs

Hailing from the Blue Mountains near Sydney, the SWAT DJ's (S.W.A.T. Stands for Soul With A Twist) cut their teeth rocking house parties in the early and mid nineties to the sounds of Run DMC, Public Enemy, Dr Dre and Ice Cube. The Funk based sounds of the time chimed a chord with each of the-then school mates, leading to an ever increasing interest in all things Funky and soulful. They soon discovered the origins of the music they loved so much and a journey began that now sees whole rooms dedicated to storing their most precious possessions...... wax plates.

Comprising of 4 core members; Easymac, Hands, BC and Professor Nasty (currently rocking the UK) and an extended family of musicians, producers and other DJ's, the SWAT team are all about the party and good times. Today, SWAT's favourite acts include anything on Ninja Tune, Catskills, Unique, Daptone, Tru Thoughts, Invada, Jalapeno, Fort Knox, Ubiquity, ?GAMM, Creative Vibes, Quannum and Funk Weapons, (to name a few!) as well as all the sounds of the original Block Parties from back in the day.
