The 14th Caxton Street Seafood Festival is tipped to attract a record attendance, with thousands of people expected to swarm to Brisbane's biggest street party.
Held traditionally on the Sunday of the Labour Day long weekend, this year's Festival – to be held on 4 May – promises to be bigger and better with more delicious seafood, wine and a first-class line up of entertainment.
To alleviate some of the cueing issues from last year, pre-purchased tickets to the Festival will be available from 2 April from Ticketek.com.au for $15. Limited tickets will also be available on the day, with $2 from every ticket sold being donated to the Courier-Mail Children's Fund.
Doors open at 11am, with the entertainment kicking off at midday and not wrapping up until 10pm.
This year's line up boasts rockers Nina May, the infectiously manic Butterfingers, Diana Anaid, Resin Dogs and Krill.
The Caxton Street Seafood Festival is conveniently located on Caxton Street, only a short 200m away from Suncorp Stadium and a few minutes from the CBD.
