Business Chicks Know That Leadership Matters
The leading women’s network organisation, Business Chicks is delivering another of their highly professional, informative and encompassing breakfasts. On Friday 16th May 2008 at ZINC at Federation Square the Chicks are featuring Detective Inspector Peter Baines who is considered one of Australia’s most experienced disaster management specialists.
A police career spanning over two decades has brought Peter up against some of the most confronting natural disasters and acts of terrorism the world has seen. In recent years, he has been instrumental in managing the response to events such as the Bali bombings, the Waterfall train disaster and the Boxing Day Tsunami in Thailand.
Peter is an expert in authentic leadership with a history of building powerful teams and creating the right results, even when starting from ‘nothing’. That’s no time, no money, no staff, but as Peter’s motto goes, “No worries”.
A compelling speaker, Peter’s stories will make an audience laugh, cry and realise that with an inspirational leader and purpose, anything can be achieved. During this breakfast, Peter will take his audience on a journey through the experiences that has seen him witness more death and destruction that many care to imagine.
Peter will also unlock the secrets of powerful leadership, showing you how to leave an indelible impression, make decisions without deliberation and focus on results and not excuses. He’ll take you through the platforms of leadership and how they impact on individuals, teams and the direction of your company. Peter will show you how you can lift people to be their best by using simple leadership techniques, and how to build teams that work.
This Business Chicks’ breakfast is sure to leave you moved, inspired, and with the knowledge that you can achieve a whole lot more with a whole lot less.
