CityParks Dance - Longtime friends Kevin Joseph and Lakai Worrell met at a hip hop “battle” in East New York over 25 years ago. With their early beginnings in hip hop dance, they went on to learn all elements of dance and put them into Purelements. The group offers deeply expressive movements that narrate compelling tales of the human condition. The Brooklyn-based co-directors, who also run the dance school COAR, have received numerous accolades, including the “Black Man of Distinction” award.
