Universal Vibes would like to announce our new residency at the Light bar, right next to liverpool street in the heart of Shoreditch. We're very happy to be playing here, its a fantastic loft space thats hosts Secret Sundaze and David Mancuso's Loft parties and is a great space for us to showcase our sound for 2008. .. .in our new regular slot on the first Saturday of every month

Going against the current trend for minimal and electro that is still sooo prevalent in Shoreditch, we are going to be keeping a firmly freestyle music policy in effect. ..straddling genres from House (proper and deep) to Hip Hop (chunky and soulful), with a dash of broken beats, some disco, funk, soul and a whole pile of eclectic good grooves. ..basically future soul music for the dancefloor. .

at the controls will be Universal Vibes head honcho and main resident, Paddy Freeform. Paddy is becoming a bit of a face on the London scene after appearances at some of Londons best known nightspots in the last year, including egg, the key, canvas, turnmills, the end and herbal and of course the univeral vibes residencies and one off events accross london, as well as a bunch of festival appearances at Bloom, Bestival, Snowbombing and a legendary closing set at the Lake Of Stars Festival in Malawi

we'll be lining up some special guest appearances from label artists and friends in the coming months, but this night is more about the music and the vibe rather than the name of the guest. ..expect a proper freestyle mash up of sounds and grooves
