**UNDERCOVER DETECTIVES IN ‘ALL’ CLUBS AT SURFERS PARADISE QLD & POSITIONED SOUROUNDING AREAS**
Last weekend (15/09/07) I arrived at surfers around 12:30am, dropped my stuff off at the hotel and met with friends at the nearest club on Cavill Ave, the first night I noticed 6-7 kiddies off their faces being hand cuffed and taken to the station (not drunk and had no idea what they got themselves into), the second night was the worst, their were undercover 30-40 yr old men giving signals to girls (18-24 yrs old) to talk to anyone potentially on drugs, their were guys 20-25 yrs old (pretending – looking totally like ravers) to drink beer or coloured flasks scoping out people and sms back to one main person within each club, I saw people taking advantage by giving money to little kiddys (who had no idea) and ‘climing up the chain’ for the source, as we left we went to the second club on ‘Orchid Ave’, as soon as we walked in there were 8-9 undercovers standing around sms each other as soon as we walked in. (The funny thing about this night, there were long line ups however were pushed forward to be let in and no security guards asked us for any ID), we pointed at the undercovers laughing and when they noticed then calmly left one by one and were rotated to more people (pretending to drink the same beer for an hour or never touch a drink and sms’ing all the time standing or sitting quite), as we left it became worse, there were guys (sooo obvious ) positioned in the outer areas just standing or sitting, you see them get a sms and then they look at it and then walk (ALL OVER SURFERS SOROUNDING THE CLUBS), there were girls at the beginning of the night pretending to take photos with the camera on the targets and then sent where it was needed to be sent.
This may have sounded paranoid but get this, the same guy that was positioned in the outer area received an sms and started to walk behind us at the beginning of the night, as we walked across the road he stopped and look across to see 2 men standing on the corner slightly staring waiting and ‘both’ on other calls to the guy that was following us. At the end of the night on that same street the same guy in the same area ran into us and said sorry then asked where we were from and then probed some further questions that NO ONE that is sane would ask….. BE CAREFULL, MASIVE OPERATION WITH UNDERCOVERS AGING FROM 18-50’s….
(think about it, all clubs in surfers are in the one area, detectives are positioned in one circle sorounding this area as well as around and in the clubs as well, they rotate if spotted or noticed, when we spotted girls and pointing at them, 2mins later a guy came up to them and we never saw them again…. )!!!!
