GRUNGE ISN'T DEAD, IT IS JUST HUNGOVER IN THE CORNER...

Or at least was, claims Rose Perry and Nicole VanHaverbeke of the up and coming female fronted grunge rock revivalist band ANTI-HERO (London, Ontario) whose sole purpose is to bring REAL rock'n'roll (and musicians) back to the currently bastardized music industry desperately in need of a musical evolution.

"What a concept ?!," says Perry, "Musicians who can actually play live without lip-synching, sound better than they do recorded, and aren't just little prissy sex icons made up by the media - who knew such a thing existed?"

Well, sadly, unless you are from a generation of the past where bands such as The Beatles ruled the charts, one may actually be convinced that to be a big-time celebrity in the "industry", actual musical ability is a minor detail as there are oodles of songwriters at your disposal.

The only things that the pop princes and princesses are concerned with are sex appeal and creating controversy (If I were to mention either of the Jacksons, you'll immediately know what I'm referring to).

"That's all about to change, " VanHaverbeke pipes up, "Look out world, here we come." And she's right in saying so, two females front this act, but don't be easily mislead into thinking the music is tame, these girls rock out just as much as the guys, in many cases, even more.

Perry (formerly of the all girl band HER) on lead vocals, songwriting, and rhythm guitar with VanHaverbeke by her side on bass, and backing vocals (moreso screeching in the same manner as Ms. Courtney Love) accompanied by Jesse Tomes (formerly of the industrial/metal band Eliminate the Body) on lead guitar, and songwriting, with Matty Cole (formerly of The Shifted) pounding on the drums, there's no doubt in our minds or the minds of their fans, ANTI-HERO is the remedy music execs have been searching for.

With the release of their highly anticipated E.P., "Unpretty" (due out in early 2005) prophesied to be a gold selling record by acclaimed producer Chris Moon (Off the Mark, Solace, 7th Cross) along with their debut music video, ANTI-HERO will soon be a name labels definitely want to add to their roster.

Sex appeal, raw talent, and just damn good music.
